Reversed
The well is there, but you may be afraid to drink — afraid of what feeling deeply will cost you. Or the water has been muddied by neglect. Clear the stones, clean the channel, and let the spring flow again.
Irish lore
Ireland has thousands of holy wells, many predating Christianity by millennia. They were places of healing, prayer, and petition, dressed with rags and coins. The water that rises from the earth was considered the purest form of blessing — the land offering itself to the people.
