Privacy Policy

The Hearth (also known as Draíocht) is built and operated by Siobhan McAuley. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We collect only what is needed to run the app well.

Information we collect

Account data. Email address and a display name you provide at sign-up. Authentication is handled by Supabase.

Usage data. Cards drawn, plants viewed, festivals tracked, conversations with Brigid (the AI companion), saved Grimoire entries, lunar and seasonal preferences. Stored in Supabase keyed to your account.

Device data. Standard mobile device identifiers and crash diagnostics provided by Apple and Expo, used to improve stability.

Subscription data. Purchase status is provided by RevenueCat (subscription middleware) and Apple. We never see your full payment details.

Third-party services

Anthropic Claude API. Conversations with Brigid are sent to Anthropic for AI generation. Your message text and recent conversation context are transmitted. Anthropic's privacy policy: anthropic.com/legal/privacy.

Data retention

Data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data is removed from our database within 30 days. Apple may retain transactional records as required by law.

Crisis content

The app includes basic crisis-detection that surfaces helpline information. Detection happens entirely on-device and is not transmitted. The displayed helpline numbers are static reference content.

Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
