Upright
The hunter reads the wind, knows the ground, and moves with deadly patience. You are in pursuit of something, and your skills are sharp. This is not the time for hesitation — track your quarry with focus and respect. The best hunters honour what they chase.
Reversed
The hunt has consumed you, or you have lost the trail. A hunter without purpose is just a person wandering the woods with a weapon. Remember why you began this chase, and ask yourself whether the quarry still matters — or whether you have become the thing being hunted.
Irish lore
The Fianna were Ireland's legendary hunter-warriors, led by Fionn mac Cumhaill. They lived in the wild, hunted with their great hounds, and were bound by strict codes of honour. The hunt in Irish tradition was never mere sport — it was a sacred interaction between human skill and the wild.
