Upright
The truth of the matter is clear, even if it is not comfortable. This is a time for honesty — with yourself first, and then with others. Fair dealing is not always easy, but it is always right. Say what is true and accept what follows.
Reversed
Something is out of balance, and you may be the one tipping the scales — or allowing them to be tipped. Are you avoiding accountability, or being too harsh in your judgments? Ceart demands fairness, not perfection.
Irish lore
The Brehon Laws of ancient Ireland were among the most sophisticated legal systems in Europe, emphasising restitution over punishment. A Brehon judge was expected to be so fair that the very land would respond — an unjust ruler would cause the crops to fail and the rivers to run dry.
