Seeker of Stones

exploration · curiosity about the land · discovery · pilgrimage begun

Upright

You have set out to find something — a place, a meaning, a truth written in stone. The seeker does not know what they will find, but they know they must look. This is the beginning of a pilgrimage, and every step on sacred ground teaches something. Walk with open eyes and a humble heart.

Reversed

You may be seeking without knowing what you are looking for, or you have found something but refuse to recognise it. The seeker's danger is endless searching — the refusal to arrive. At some point, you must stop walking and say: here. This is the place.

Irish lore

Irish pilgrimage traditions are among the oldest in Europe — from the mountain climb of Croagh Patrick to the island vigil of Lough Derg. The pilgrim was a seeker who left comfort behind to walk hard ground in hope of revelation. The seeking was as sacred as the finding.
