You may be avoiding a choice, or making one for the wrong reasons. A crossroads is not a place to live, love — it is a place to pass through. Indecision is its own kind of decision, and not usually a kind one.
Irish lore
Crossroads held deep power in Irish folk tradition. They were places of dancing, of meeting, of fairy activity, and of danger. Decisions made at crossroads were considered binding, and many a fairy encounter in the lore happens where two bog roads meet.
