completion · wholeness · Ériu · belonging · home
Upright
You have walked the full circle, and the land welcomes you home. This is completion — not perfection, but wholeness. Everything you have been through has brought you here, to this ground, to this moment. You belong.
Reversed
Completion feels just out of reach, or you have arrived somewhere that does not feel like home yet. Perhaps you are not finished, or perhaps you need to look again at the ground beneath your feet. Home is not always where you expect it to be.
Irish lore
Ériu, from whom Ireland (Éire) takes its name, was a goddess of the Tuatha Dé Danann who asked the Milesians to name the land after her in exchange for their sovereignty. She is the land itself — every field, every mountain, every river. To complete the journey in Irish tradition is to come home to the land that holds you.
