The Wheel

cycles · the turning year · fate · change · seasons

Upright

The wheel turns whether you push it or not. What is rising will rise; what is falling will fall. This is not punishment — it is the rhythm of things. Trust the season you are in, even if it is not the one you would have chosen.

Reversed

You may be fighting against a natural turning, clinging to summer when autumn is already in the air. Or perhaps you feel stuck, as though the wheel has stopped. It has not — you have simply lost sight of the motion. Look closer.

Irish lore

The Irish year turned on eight festivals — four fire festivals (Imbolc, Bealtaine, Lúnasa, Samhain) and four solar markers. This wheel of the year governed planting, harvesting, and all the rhythms of life. The concept of fate in Irish tradition was not rigid but cyclical, always turning.
