Three of Winds

battle wisdom · prophecy · communication · strategic thinking

Upright

The raven sees what the warrior cannot — the whole field, the hidden flanks, the movement behind the hill. Your mind is sharp now, and you can see the pattern in the chaos. Speak what you see clearly, even if it is unwelcome. Prophecy is only useful if someone listens.

Reversed

You may be seeing threats where there are none, or your sharp mind has become a weapon turned inward. The raven is a prophet, not a pessimist. If all you can see is the battlefield, you have forgotten there are fields of peace beyond it.

Irish lore

The raven (Fiach Dubh) was sacred to the Morrígan, goddess of battle and prophecy. Ravens on the battlefield foretold the outcome of wars. Three ravens together were a powerful omen. The raven's intelligence and memory made it a symbol of the strategic mind.
